Many people, especially the atheists believe that belief in God is something that children get adapted to growing up by their families & culture, however, Psychologist & anthropologist at Oxford University, Justin L Barret conducted a study and wrote a book on this topic called “Born Believers” and his conclusion is that, every child is born with the natural instinct of believing in a creator.

“Scientific research on children’s developing minds and supernatural beliefs suggests that children normally and rapidly acquire minds that facilitate belief in supernatural agents… Not long after their first birthday, babies appear to understand that agents, but not natural forces or ordinary objects, can create order out of disorder… Who is the Creator? Children know people are not good candidates. It must have been a god… children are born believers of what I call natural religion…” Page 35 & 36

Another psychologist by the name of Dr. Olivera Petrovich came to the same conclusion: https://www.theage.com.au/national/infants-have-natural-belief-in-god-20080725-3l3b.html

These scientific studies not only refutes the atheistic notion that belief in God is adapted to, but also nullifies any religion that is polytheistic because polytheism is not what the children are born & incline towards but rather God in singular.

In Islam, it is believed that every child is born upon the natural instinct of believing in Allah, from the statements of the Quran & the prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
