Excellent piece. As a black woman I have felt I had to watch my tone especially when it is opinion about my community. I have stopped. I am allowed my anger and too many of us suffer in silence trying to fit in with the crowd. Funny, how Italian & Spanish women’s fiery ‘tempers’ are celebrated and accepted but our anger is dismissed and turned against us. Funny, how that works.
