What the heck is an Instagram habit and why do I care?
Nicole Delabrer

Nicole, this piece really caught my attention for a couple of reasons. First, I didn’t even know there was a thing called “instagram habit.” Second, this new trend somewhat relates to the field that I’m studying: UX Design. One of the biggest goals of the medical field right now is to create content that regular, uneducated people will be able to understand, and UI/UX is the thing that helps with that. I think that fast, short content is definitely taking over journalism, and the downfall of that is that we will eventually lose quality content just as we read in Dominic Boyer’s The Life Informatic. I’m wondering if you are planning on immersing yourself in this trend to truly understand it? I know I’ve tried it and it definitely becomes addicting once you get the hang of exactly how you should be photographing certain food. Perhaps that should be a part of your research as well? What goes into taking the perfect photo, because it’s more than just snapping one shot. As crazy as it sounds, it’s a skill.
