Eat That Frog With To-Do List
At Some Point, You Have to Eat That Frog
“If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it First Thing in the Morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the BIGGEST one first.” — Mark Twain
Journal entry About Book:
I love this book on productivity is Eat That Frog . The main idea behind the book is that if you do your most important task (MIT) first thing in the morning, the rest of the day is going to be easy in comparison. In the book, Brian Tracy calls it “eating your frog” and he got that from the saying, “If the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long!”
There are hundreds of things you could choose to do in your first hour awake. Completing an uncomfortable or difficult task not only moves it out of your way, but it gives you great energy because you get the feeling you’ve accomplished something worthwhile.
..but I work best in under pressure
Some people work better under pressure. You can call them active procrastinators. Active procrastinators who postpone work for later are mostly in control of their time and use it purposefully without worrying too much about missing deadlines. If you know yourself well enough, you can better plan and do tasks without the anxiety that comes with deadlines.

Procrastination isn’t about knowing when to start. It’s about knowing when to stop!
I was not that much active and not very good at managing the time until, I took the productivity course and it helped me in many ways, which made me more productive and regular in my daily life. One of the key thing from productivity challenge was making to do lists. To do list enables you to go ahead with your tasks with the best time management possible without forgetting much of the work load to be performed.
I’m working on this in my own life right now. It’s an obvious concept, but it’s rather new to me — so I’m experimenting as I write this. For me, right now it’s not a chore — it’s simply working out. I love the after-effects of working out.
How do we spot the famous frog?
— Things you don’t want to do, but actually need to do.
— Things you want to do and actually need to do.
— Things you want to do, but actually don’t need to do.
— Things you don’t want to do, and actually don’t need to do.
And then focus on the things you don’t want to do, but actually need to do.The biggest, ugly, distasteful things that need to be done, but tend not to.
Eating frogs and accomplishing your toughest task first is not always pleasant. The best “productivity hack” is to actually know what to do and when to do it. But I think if we finish the easy task first, we can easily handle the toughest tasks without pressure of anything else. We can while giving our full attention to Task and finish gently. Many of you will not agree with me, but these are my thoughts you can think differently.

Journal Entry after following To-Do list:
After writing my to-do list, I tried to accomplish all these activities within a specified time period in the whole day. I made a schedule for each activity.I fixed specific time in which that particular activity had to be completed. From Monday, I am following this list of tasks because of my work at school, otherwise I can not manage my time according to the list. Unpleasant things have happened, but I do my best to follow this list. I have a bad habit to lose my memory of an important time, but after following this, Eat That Frog is good to remember things.
- Was this experience helpful or not helpful?
yes.! It was very helpful to remember important thing and do essential things first.
2. Did you feel like you got more work done or about the same?
Yes, I thought it was for a more finished job with less time and energy. This time management schedule had helped me a lot as I completed my tasks in a better way and it also saved my time.
3. What suggestions do you have to improve it?
I will try to improve my sleep time at night and work during day time. But after coming from school, it’s difficult to do another task so I prefer to sleep to rest.
