Education system in pakistan:

The education system of Pakistan is comprised of 260,903 institutions and is facilitating 41,018,384 students with the help of 1,535,461 teachers. The system includes 180,846 public institutions and 80,057 private institutions. Hence 31% educational institutes are run by private sector while 69% are public institutes.

Solutions : Here are some points to improve it.

  1. Technical education should be made a part of secondary education. Classes for carpentry, electrical, and other technical education must be included in the curriculum
  2. Corruption in education departments is one of the factors for the poor literacy in the country. An effective monitoring system is needed in education departments
  3. Counselling of parents is required. so that they can choose a career for their child which is market friendly
  4. Get the private sector to offer more scholarships. The government could provide private schools with attractive packages such as cheaper utility bills in return for them making at least 10% of their places available for free to poor students. This could be especially effective in areas government schools have failed to reach
  5. Scrap teaching in English. We FOcus on English too much which is why we’ve ended up with so much rote learning. Many teachers are trying to teach in a language they’re not even fully competent in. Meanwhile, children who are confident in their own language are condemned as dumb if they can’t pick up English.
  6. Career Counseling. Today biggest problem in pakistan is that student doesn’t know what to do next in his life so he goes to undirected path and fails in life. There should be people for career counseling of children so that they could get to know that what they have to do in future.
  7. Change the system:

Govt have to take specific steps to end cramming system in education from Govt. as well as Private sector and implement system of practical work, so that every student can gain more knowledge by doing research on that specific topic or subject, unlike. Ratta system where student have to memorize everything for short period of time which Teacher gives him/her.

“Education is a matter of life and death for Pakistan. The world is progressing so rapidly that without requisite advance in education, not only shall we lag behind others but may be wiped out altogether.”
