When you think about qubits mostly you thought about the Bloch Sphere implementation in Qiskit because of the enormous exposure we had while using Qiskit toolkit and loads of other online resources and courses emphasizing on Qiskit .
But, in real time hardware implementation, an actual qubit is employed to perform quantum computation in a quantum computer. Research is going on in implementing different types of qubit.
Below diagram has a rough sketch about the types of qubits.
