The Wonders of Argan Oil

I was in Morocco just a few weeks back and had the opportunity to see how Argan oil is extracted and refined.
The Argan tree is native to Morocco and the oil is extracted from its kernels. The oil is rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids as well as vitamins A and E, which makes it a great choice for cosmetics.
The high fat content and vitamin E make Argan oil a great non-greasy and non-irritating moisturizer. It can soften your hands and feet and help deal with brittle nails.
It can also be used to treat acne because its high linoleic acid content helps minimize inflammation which helps heal damaged skin cells.
Vitamins A and E also give the oil anti-aging properties and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and heal dry and damaged skin. And, not surprisingly, it is an excellent hair conditioner because of its ability to treat split ends and control hair frizz.
Packed with so many useful properties, Argan oil appears to be truly a wonder and UNESCO has declared the Argan forest as a biosphere reserve.
