How many times must I have walked past the Medallion rug gallery, this place that captivated my imagination right from when I first moved to Palo Alto- Penniless, living off the goodwill and charity of my cousin and working on starting my own tech career.! Years later, I bought a tiny runner (I couldn’t afford anything bigger, but this Persian carpet runner was a symbol of my own having arrived!) from Medallion to celebrate the fact that I finally had a place of my own under the Silicon Valley sun.
