Introducing myself as somebody, esp. so others could easily recall “Oh, yeah, Shalu!” has never been the game. Earlier, when I was learning a language, words befell short. Now, knowing the language doesn’t do any good either; no words can speak to the duality of mind and heart... until soul speaks and soul listens.

I don't think that anybody is better than anybody else. I also do feel like an expert in some things, and I want to own that.

I have studied the science of human psychology, specialized in child psychology and I am a certified Parent Coach. I work with parents to help them navigate their dilemmas of diapers, dreams, and dual careers.

In my work with parents, the most concerning aspect we get to work is the emotional resilience of our children (& their friends, their friends' friends.) Most of the children and young adults have learned to look cool and fear having a conversation, fear getting in a relationship.

My goal is to remove all the 'they won't understand me' talk from the head of children, when they are nurturing a new relationship, navigating a weary relationship and expressing in a difficult relationship. The way things are working for parents who work with me, I believe I would be able to do that more - one child, one family, one community at a time!
