In answer to the observation that some people say they do not meditate because they are too busy, the Dalai Lama told the following story:
A monk keeps promising his student that he will take him on a picnic but is always too busy to do so. One day they see a procession carrying a corpse.
“Where is he going?” the monk asks his student.
I absolutely love this story ☺. We are already at a point where there is no more retirement. One could change vocations, professions as they age and their interests change.
Try to do the work where it feels fun, that’s the way it should be. Else you will always be eager to cross over to the other side. Well who knows what it is like on the other side anyways!!
