Atlassian Confluence is, simply described, a social wiki. Use it to collaborate and share content and information with your co-workers. Your content can be as simple or as rich as you like. It can be just words, or you can add images, diagrams, activity streams, web service integration and more. Post comments on co-workers news and pages and mention other employees in your content, the same way one does in social networks such as Facebook or Twitter.

Atlassian Confluence includes many of the traditional features you’d expect to find in a wiki, including:

  1. Capture knowledge in one place: Say goodbye to emails, shared network drives, meeting minutes, requirements, project plans and documentation, simply create and share them all on Confluence.
  2. Fast, smart Editor:Anyone can create rich pages and blogs completed with links, images, media and more. No need to email a document, just drag files from your desktop into pages and blogs.
  3. Fast, predictive search:Start typing and watch Confluence suggests pages, blogs, files and people. The intelligent search makes sure you find what you’re looking for, fast.
  4. Real-time notifications:No need to go back and forth between emails and tasks. Confluence automatically tracks activities that need your attention, giving you one place to follow the plot.
  5. Bundled best practices:Get started straight away using spaces and pages templates. Pre-configured blueprints will provide you with out-of-the-box best practices, while you can also design your owns.
