Stillness in our thoughts.

Do you know that feeling of waking up and smiling?

Do you know that feeling of waking up and the only thought that goes through your head is “I’m awake. It’s another day.”

Do you know that feeling of waking up, smelling your pillow case and having a fuzzy buzz in your tummy?

Do you know that feeling of aliveness and stillness?

That feeling of just pure peace.

6 Ways to get that stillness back in your thoughts.

1. Don’t check your phone first thing in the morning.
Wash your face, brush your teeth, do whatever you do as your morning routine just minus the phone.
Everything can wait.
First thing in the morning… focus just on YOU.

2. Exercise.
No matter what what you do or for how long just do something with your body, whenever you can.

3. Read.
Read anything. Read articles on your phone, read interesting write ups about anything that makes your thoughts jog positively and interactivaly. Read something that is creative and imaginative, as long as its opening your mind and making you think.

4. Eat well.
The expression goes: You are what you eat.
Simple. Think about what you consume and digest.

5. Spend time alone.
To truly organize your thoughts, your directions and your dreams you must spend time alone. To see what makes you happy and what doesn’t. To see what is working out for you and what isn’t. To sort yourself out.

And most importantly…

6. Love and be thankful.
Without an open heart and a grateful mouth life is so much tougher to get through. Having anger or sadness bottled up and then popping and flowing out of you like a freshly opened bottle of champagne daily is lethal. Its lethal not just to yourself but to the world around you.

I’m no expert but I love to share what I have learnt which has turned me into a more open hearted person. I make mistakes, I make a few but I pray that I learnt from them.
And with the above 6 simple points I have figured out that I am less angry, more aware of being alive and still and happier.

Galatians 5:22–23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
