She was down in the valley

Her hazel eyes brown

She was floating through flowers

And gazing around

She was searching for beauty

Nowhere to be found

As the river kept bending

Around and around

The bees they were buzzing

With that far off sound

And the birds with their chirping

Fading in the background

For she could not see that

All the beauty surrounds

With her eyes looking upward

But her heart spiraling down

Suddenly it happened

Just over the mound

Feet dragging and thirsty

As she fell upon the town

The music was festive

All the streamers unwound

As the people were laughing

The allure was renowned

She knew she would stay

Her spirit was bound

She found her way home

Her heart finally crowned
