weeping willow does not weep

weeping willow maybe

but it surely does not weep

for its bark can heal its pain

and its roots are buried deep

morphing into other forms

charcoal dark as darkest night

running water in its bark

holy water keeping light

coldness is no stranger

so its built a layer tough

always drawing sun in

casting shadows well enough

steady and unshaken

broken branches are its womb

shielding banks from flooding waters

that are more inclined to run
