Something may be true, or not true — but it does not follow that we know which is which with absolute certainty. The best evidence and analysis we have says that anthropogenic climate change is real, but there are a minority who dispute or discount the available evidence and analysis. It is *possible*, but *highly improbable* that they are correct. So yes, there is such a thing as scientific consensus, and it is sometimes correct, and sometimes incorrect.
Second, 2+2 can equal five under certain conditions. Normally, I would let that slide because the conditions are esoteric and somewhat absurd … but given that your entire statement was condemning someone for being *technically* inaccurate, it seems appropriate to point it out to you.
