From a “user experience” viewpoint I don’t really see the difference between the role of an industrial designer and a product designer of a UI. So I’m not sure I see a UI designer being called a “product designer” being disrespectful towards industrial designers that are called product designers. All products that are being used by humans need or should being designed from a “user experience” perspective.
