First one is Goal line technology. it means instantly determining whether the whole of the ball has crossed the goal line. The technology must provide a clearly indicate whether the ball has fully crossed the line. This information will serve to assist the referee in taking their final decision. The information is transmitted within one second which ensures an immediate response from the referee. Only the match officials are receive the signal on their watches. The IFAB decided on 5 July 2012 that the potential use of goal-line technology was to be implemented in the Laws of the Game and a certification procedure should control the quality of goal-line technology systems. All competition stadiums are tested by an independent test institutes before the start of the tournament. Moreover, the referee checks the system before the start of each match to see if it is turned on and correctly calibrated.
Next is Semi-automated offside technology. it’s a support tool for the video match officials and the on-field officials to help them make faster, more reproducible and more accurate offside decisions. The new technology uses 12 dedicated tracking cameras mounted underneath the roof of the stadium to track the ball and up to 29 data points of each individual player, 50 times per second, calculating their exact position on the pitch. The 29 collected data points include all limbs and extremities that are relevant for making offside calls. AL rihla the official world cup ball a sensor is placed into the centre of the ball to detect the motion of the ball. This sensor sends the ball data to the video operation room 500 times per second. Then the limb and the ball datas combine with artificial intelligence , the new technology create an automated alert to the officials who are in the video room whenever the ball on the offside position. Then they confirm the decision by manually checking the automated system. After the decision has been announced by the refre on the pitch, the exact same positional datas generated into a 3d animation. It will always show the best possible perspective for an offside situation, will then be shown on the giant screens in the stadium and will also be made available to FIFA’s broadcast partners to inform all spectators in the clearest possible way
More over FIFA player app. FIFA has developed the FIFA Player App, based on input from professional players, in collaboration with FIFPRO, the global representative of professional footballers.
