Miniest of minibreaks in Providence this weekend! I’ve been dying to pop down for a night at the Dean Hotel and dinner at the Oberlin, and when I mentioned this to a girlfriend, she responded by texting me a picture of a hotel reservation for tonight. My share of the hotel is about $110, and chances are we’ll rack up significant restaurant/bar tabs, so let’s call it $200 and be really excited if I don’t go over. Train tickets down and back were purchased with my Amtrak miles stash.

Sunday I’m planning take myself to Castle Island and and read by the shore(finally something else than my school books since summer class is over!) — I’ll take Billfolders’ recommendations — and probably do a minimal grocery store stock-up since we pretty much have a fridge full of food from last week still. Let’s say $40. Also have to knock out two loads of laundry, $6.

My husband is throwing me his remaining share of $200 for bills and another $100 he borrowed to pay for a locksmith for his scooter’s broken chain.

Total: $356 spending, $300 earned. Net $56, but let’s round up to $70 in case I finally get off my butt and go to the hardware store for a fridge lamp and batteries.
