Awesome that issues of representation don’t cause you to lose sleep. That’s great for you.

For me, (clearly) it does. I’m deeply invested as both a consumer of and creator of art and words in representation. I don’t believe that doing the work of diversity and inclusion is akin to tokenism, but rather is the antidote to tokenism.

A lot of my opinions and work in these matters functions on the basis that the idea of only allowing a certain number of places at the table for marginalized people (tokenism) can be defeated by people digging in and doing the work to make tokenism unnecessary because the landscape of the written word is available to all of us.
