I’m so glad we’re discussing that Ask Polly letter.
Aproned Menace

I married a guy who was bad with money- didn’t understand credit cards (luckily, had used them very little), ignored his student loans, always forgetting to pay bills but I didn’t mind helping him get his shit together (before we got married, of course) and then took over all the money stuff. But the key in all of this was that he was open to my help, wanted to be better, and still appreciates that I handle that shit (not perfectly, I’m not half as good with money as most the people on this site but I’m trying!) I’ve never dated a guy who was good with money so it only made sense that he wouldn’t be either!
