The Defiant Moon

I still look at the moon the way I used to do before when you and I were one soul. Gazing the white celestial bod for hours, trying to trace those crescent lines, which in the past used to smile back at me with those unforgettable passionate doe shaped eyes.

But now the moon doesn’t appear the way it used to, for in the shadows of its silhouette I see every shade of your absence draping me in some sadness of dark hues
