Is Small Satellite Launch a Rocketship Opportunity or a Race to the Bottom?

I’ve been thinking about this essay for a while. It’s smart, so I hope the launch entrepreneurs are paying attention. Now I have more questions.

Launch is not for the faint-of-heart. People can and do die. That seldom happens in messaging app startups. Are you second-guessing the risk?

What’s going to determine the winners and the losers? If it isn’t market, capital, or technology, it must be The Team. And I think all the teams are pretty good so … does that mean we’re in a second golden age of rocketry or something?

Why invest? Launch is necessary if you want to put something into space, so some investors need it in their portfolios, right?

Not me. I don’t have that kind of money, anyway.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
