Não, não é.

Well, nobody says that one “got majors and minors”, but it’s perfectly acceptable to say one graduated from College, majoring and minoring in whatever, or that they graduated from College, and that they majored in whatever. Or they outright say they did/finished their undergrad at College and then say their major/minor, or just that they got a bachelor’s from College. I mean, all these would be fine in her circumstances, because I think that graduates from top universities preferably use the form in which they can name drop.
Resumão: Aquela passagem em inglês está errada? Sim. Mas é incomum explicitar a sua major/minor? Não, principalmente quando se está dando importância pro nome da universidade.
