Early this year, when I founded Yogurt Labs, we were very excited about a new beginning. For Entrepreneurs, it’s very natural to fantasize in the early days, but the first few months are difficult, navigating through ambiguity and deducing complex product problems — something we anticipated, but had definitely underestimated the magnitude of.

We are lean entrepreneurs and Yogurt Labs is a lean start-up. We signed our first customer with a simple 12 line email and 2 phone calls; no deck, no tech, not even a website.

After reading Eric Ries’ lesson — ‘Don’t Launch’, we decided not to wait for the product to be completely ready or going for any formal launch, I straight away started talking to potential customers and partners. First three months and we already had 12+ customers and 100+ paid videos made!

Hell yeah! We even raised our first Angel round without writing single line of code. True story!

In March 2015, Vivek joined Yogurt as a Co-Founder and CTO — he started handpicking a team and development kick started. After almost 4 months of hard work, broken neck and two wisdom teeth of Vivek ( >:D ), we are getting closer to the public release of our App, I am so excited but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous.

For those who don’t know yet, Yogurt Labs is a Mobile video tech start-up.

Video has an extraordinarily positive impact on consumers during the purchase life-cycle, in driving brand awareness and engagement. Online Shoppers who view videos are 181% more likely to purchase than non-viewers.

This is where a massive need for a business-grade video maker that is easy enough for anyone to use, yet powerful enough to generate professional-looking, on-brand videos that can be easily incorporated into broader marketing strategies gets created in the market.

With Yogurt’s mobile platform, companies of all sizes can meet the increased demand for video by producing simple yet impactful videos to strengthen their marketing plans.
