I woke-up from a dream disheartened. 😥 You see, I posted a video last night I was sure would go viral in hours 🕣 with all the power of social media. 🙌 What was it? An amazing new way to a feed a family of four. 👨👩👧👦 You would think this video would instantly resonate around the globe. 🌎
It didn't. 🚫
We always hear, that to get our message out there, we need to share on social media. 👍 IN OTHER WORDS…use TWITTER and FACEBOOK. These two sites rule over social media city. 🏰

So why is this not the case? Unless your really famous of course. 🎅
Maybe we posted at the wrong time? Studies suggest it’s best to tweet in the morning rush when everybody’s on their phone in order to get more RT’s and Likes per tweet.🍀 🚫

Social Media is a sprawling metropolis. Think of it this way, on Twitter we're all raging and in the city streets 😠 🚦 🏬 🏭, while on Facebook we're cruising through the neighborhood and among our friends and family. 🚲 🌅 🏩 🏫Haven’t you wondered why these social-media silos weren't more connected like the real world is? 📡 To me it seems like there are walls built into every corner. I don't know if it’s for corporate reasons, or whatever, but it’s annoying and getting increasingly confusing to navigate around both sites. 🚧 No wonder it’s tough for anything to go viral and for a message to truly span the globe just by using Twitter and Facebook. 🚫 🌍
Now the really frustrating part is that Twitter has this one amazing feature, the Retweet. 👑 There is simply nothing like it on the planet. But I can't Retweet to Facebook. That would be an amazing way to blaze 🔥 through social city don’t you think? Connecting those city streets with the neighborhood is the right thing to do. 🌆💼 👔💬🌉 🏠🌅🏡 😃
Honestly, even though there is this giant ❌ between them what’s the real point of using Twitter over Facebook or Facebook over Twitter anymore?
Both Twitter and Facebook have skillfully built out their sharing tools. We mentioned that Twitter has the RT, well Facebook, for it’s part allows developers to create interesting connections between all the people and places.
But more to the point, why should I care? Why should my message care where it lives or how it’s delivered? Why should anybody care what is going on with all these crazy social media sites that rule the world. 🗽Or the hundreds of tools, and distractions. I have an event to promote, a birthday to share, a video to launch, an “I love you” note to spread to the ends of the universe. ❤📯
