BlockApp Series explores blockchain and decentralized applications that anyone can use. Whether you’re invested in or curious about decentralized applications, some of these apps can help you solidify your understanding on how they are used and the value they provide.

2017 was a massive year for blockchain companies, projects, and cryptocurrencies. There was a lot of buzz from Bitcoin ETFs being denied at the beginning of the year placing a temporary set back, to a massive outbreak in ICOs and the democratization of global funding, regulatory crackdowns globally, to massive sign up rates on cryptoexchanges! Needless to say it’s been a rollercoaster.

By now you’ve probably seen your news outlets say something about the dramatic rise and fall for some cryptocurrencies, notably Bitcoin. If you’re still skeptical of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but want to see what the hype is all about, I’ll be posting articles on apps and platforms where you can get a taste.

The goal is to give readers a brief overview of why the application and product is made, how it allows them to experience decentralized applications and the blockchain, and answer questions about the company/project in the comments section.
