Victoria’s Secret Model Kelly Gale’s Green Juice
There’s one green juice that the bombshell beauty enjoys every morning and it’s amazing! Increase your daily veggie intake by trying her nutritious recipe.
Summer is here, and there’s no better time to get juicin’! Fresh juice is energizing, healthy, and well… in an interview with Grazia, Victoria’s Secret model Kelly Gale shared that she enjoys a “green juice in the morning — a big one — with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, two lemons, and lots of ginger.” If Kelly’s doing it, so are we, right?
The Swedish-Australian supermodel is known for sharing her fitness routines and healthy favorites on social media. Recently, she shared her green juice recipe on Instagram and it’s amazing. If you have trouble eating as many veggies as you should on a busy day, juicing can be a smart and convenient way to increase veggie intake.
New to juicing? Give Kelly’s wholesome recipe a try. To make a 16-ounce serving, you’ll need:
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 handful of kale
- 2 lemons
- 6 celery stalks
- 1-inch ginger
- 3–4 fresh dandelion greens (when in season)
- Pinch of chlorella powder (optional)
Combine these ingredients in your juicer and voila! Double the recipe if you’d like to share this healthy deliciousness with a friend.
PRO TIP: Taste too strong for your liking? Dilute the juice with purified water. Sometimes, dandelion greens can make the juice extra bitter. Bigger lemons can result in overpowering sourness. If this is the case, you can always add an apple for a bit of natural sweetness.
Raw kale is good for the body in proper doses, but it can also have dangerous levels of heavy metals. Kelly shared that she adds a pinch of chlorella powder into her juice to combat this. Chlorella helps the body detox by binding to heavy metals and other toxins. She also swears by chlorella for cellulite reduction & hair growth! As far as taste goes, it’s not overpowering as long as you don’t add too much.
