Great article- thanks for taking the time to do the research and posting!

I see the keto diet as basically exploiting one of the body’s safety mechanisms; the body’s starvation mode. Any other emergency mechanism- whether natural or man made [life boat, emergency break, etc] is designed for short term use and good for what it’s good for. But not long term use. To me, to try to ‘outsmart’ the vastly complex human body- especially for something like weight loss- isn’t a good idea; especially when there are much safer and proven alternatives. I agree with you that a [whole food] plant based diet is very healthy and preventative for many diseases instead of contributing to them, as increasing evidence is showing.
