My name is Shari Lopatin, and I'm a former journalist now writing novels, short fiction, personal and political essays, and poetry about life, culture, and social issues.

I love storytelling. Stories are the great human connectors. That's why I've dedicated my professional and creative life to writing and editing for nearly 20 years. Besides being a published fiction author, I've also worked as a daily newspaper reporter, magazine writer, social media manager, communications strategist, and public relations professional.

Overall, I love nature, hate bigotry, am culturally Jewish, and cope with ADHD on a daily basis. You might see aspects of that worldview come out in my creative and essay writing.
