Shreya, thank you for this inspiring article and for your work in general! This practice is one that continues to resurface in different ways and times in my life. However, rather than calling it “detachment,” I prefer to think of it as “unattachment.” That is, I am neither detached (severed from my experience) or attached, but “not attached”; therefore, I can embrace my soul’s experience but not be concerned with acting on every thought or emotion, or worrying needlessly about the future. A mindset that well accompanies this is what I call “high involvement, low expectation”!
