Thank you for writing your story. Reading your description of your high school years, was and is my life. It took me until my early thirties to get to college. I hoped I would be different, I was older, I knew I had depression, I was being treated. All these things I told myself. I’m still withdrawn, I’m still socially awkward to say the least. No one understands the feelings that drift around all day and all night in your mind, how sad, how scary. You feel that you are wrong, that you need to change. Maybe it’s everyone else who needs to change their mindset about mental health.
