There is a famous verse in the Bhagavad Gita which says "Karm karo, fal ki chinta mat karo" which means Do your duty without thinking about results. What the statement means is that one should concentrate on doing his duty without being concerned about the outcome.

When one considers as to what is within his power to do, realises that one can work hard towards a goal. Will he be successful or not is not in his hands. But when one has put in efforts he is more likely to be successful. Wonderful post. Thank you for sharing.
