In today’s time, social media platforms have become a part of our day to day lives. They offers numerous benefits, such that provide numerous information, news and helps us in connecting with the peoples around the world and can share our ideas, thoughts and feelings about certain issues and problems. Social media platforms provide us opportunities to show our talent and helps us to showcase or express our unique ideas. Through internet we can access a lot information and utilize it positive ways. along with the positive impacts of social, its essential to highlight the potential impact they can have on mental health. Its important to talk about this topic so in this blog , I will mention some points that how social media is overpowering our mental health and imprinting bad effect on our mental health.

Cyberbullying and online harassment

Unfortunately cyberbullying and online harassment is increasing through social media platforms through negative comments on posts, negative messages which leads to depression and have negative impact on mental health . People starts overthinking about the opinions imposing on them by the people, which imprints negative effect on their mind and health emotionally and physically.

Addiction of social media

Overusing of these platforms leads to addiction and negatively impacts overall well being. We’ll explore the signs of media addiction, discuss the potential consequences on mental health. For avoiding the addiction we should follow good ang healthy lifestyle and have good 8 hours of sleep daily. Rather then using social media mindlessly we should explore new activities, explore new places and have break to relax our mind and body for good mental and physical health.

Impact on self- esteem

While using different social media platforms we interact with a lot posts and feeds of other peoples and after seeing them enjoy their life we usually feel low and sad because of their good life style which leads to effect us mentally.
