Difference between over thinking and deep thinking

Difference between over thinking and deep thinking

 What does thinking relates to?

Thinking is referred to; a process of looking, reasoning or judging upon one’s thoughts . We often deal with numerous of situations when we need to act at that instant and before we even know, a decision is made as due to call being done from the outsource to which an action is required. And when we respond to it at that speck of moment without its actual realization, then that decision is made according to how we feed our mind or how we think.

Over thinking

Over thinking is a state of one’s mind in which you keep on repeating things and won’t stop doing it unless a worse feeling gets aroused or you end up creating a problem for yourself which wasn’t there in the first place but you have made its realisation by visualising it as a real image, making it equivalent to current existing reality.

That continuously ongoing process of pinning over a particular thing and not moving on unless a phase of making your inner-self ruined is reached. Over thinking is not a disease and neither do it has any connection with being mentally ill.

Over thinking is Toxic

Let us consider a situation; You met someone totally stranger to you and had a conversation in which you didn’t make a good first impression, that impact sent by you and you have no idea what the other person may be thinking about you. Then, you start making up things in your mind;

What would they think about me?

Did they liked me or was I weird?

What if they think I sounded totally stupid?

 Would they call me back?

Oh, gosh!!! Stop making it up. Yes, that is over thinking. You don’t need to impress everyone you come across and neither do have to be accepted always at your best. You don’t need to be right every time and neither do become like the rest.

Over thinking not only makes you unstable mentally but also emotionally, physically, intellectually and as a human. It flickers the rate of chemical reactions unconditionally going in your mind at high intensity, makes you feel low by rising the flow of blood causing anxiety, scribbles your thoughts and reasoning to a doom and makes you lose your true identity.

Overcoming it

At times we all deal with a phase in our lives when it’s really hard not to over analyze over different matters as the life treats us and that’s totally fine but that need to be done with a rational mind. Rational mind here means; full of awareness and a bit logical thinking than of overdriven emotions. Being in a stable form such that the cloud of clumsy thoughts is passing by smoothly and being accessed for a better cause. Stay busy in something productive and what you love to do. Yes, it’s not at all easy to control it as you have developed that habit from a long period of time. But it’s up to you whether to accept it and make yourself worse or to fight against it to be better for bringing peace to your life to be grateful for.

Deep thinking

Deep thinking relates to the intellectual flow of thoughts and state of being rationally alert about one’s mind. Deep thinking is many times misunderstood with overthinking. We often tend to consider thinking about something continuously as a deep thinking.

While the truth is that a non-productive implementation of recalling one’s thought doesn’t make you a deep thinker.

A deep thinker will introspect only once than repeating it like a loop. Deep thinking comes from within and it’s about getting lost in oneself, not of calling a single thought but looking from every perspective and gathering all the knowledge at a particular confinement such that all the possibilities are compared with that provoking thought for a specific target to be attained.

Mind of a deep thinker

The mind of a deep thinker is just as of a normal individual, there’s no structural difference or some other beneficial support. It’s all about the way you look, questioning about everything unless an answer is found and then again questioning it which is further fed to your mind. Deep thinking is not harmful. If you are a deep thinker and analyze things very differently than others, going in-depth and not letting it go unless a satisfactory justification is found then, you actually think.

Do I mean that those who are not a deep thinker are lost at thinking meaningful? No, rather those are easy goers and live the way they love to without scratching it out.

No one is same, everyone has one’s own strengths and weaknesses.

Some are satisfied with their present caliber while others never settle unless an uprise is achieved.

Deep thinking is connected with one’s belief and if reflected, it shows an outlook of one’s inner personality. A deep thinker will try to find meaning in every small entity being seen and existing in this universe and will make the most out of it. We tend to neglect the things which doesn’t seem to be of much relevance to look upon but if you think deep then you’ll have an urge to know it from its origin.

The good and the bad, both sides equivalently.

 The cause of the happening.

 Accepting the worst scenario.

And finding it’s solution being fearless.

 Questions Everything

Let us again consider a scenario; You are in a middle of a mess as nothing seems to be going right with you from a long time, no matter what efforts you put into it. And due to this misfortune you have stuck in a troublesome situation which has been of great loss. Now instead of worrying about the past, that had gone and repeating it continuously getting nowhere, you’ll rather first think about the worst thing that could have happened and accept it. Then worked on it looking for the cause, the positive and negative aspect and finding a solution without any fear(as you have already accepted the worst case).

Know the cause from the Root

If you are a deep thinker, then you are likely to question everything and know the cause of the happening from its root. You will not be reactive at something which might sound offensive to others rather will try to create a transparent medium to know it fully. To explain this more vividly; You know someone who had an offensive view about something. As soon as that opinion is outspoken, normally anyone would have said; What a rude person! But, if you are a deep thinker, you’ll try to know the reason behind that person belief and as for what made them say that. You’ll look beyond the question raised.

Our mind is a bed of ocean with thoughts flowing in abundance and its control of flow is within our reach. It’s always in action and may never stop and neither do you have to stop it. Let it flow and with every bit flowing, structure it in such a way that it leaves a positive impact letting you think more vividly.
