My Meeting With Gary Vaynerchuk

Today I was blessed to have a one on one private meeting with Gary Vaynerchuk.

For those that don’t know Gary, he has written 4 books, has the ‪#‎askgarvvee‬show and ‪#‎dailyvee‬ youtube channel which both have more than 100,000 listeners per episode, runs one of the largest media companies in the world Vaynermedia, oversees VaynerRSE $25m hedgefund, has built his family wine business from $3m to $60m in 5 years, has over 1.5 million followers worldwide, and is arguably one of the best marketers in the world.

But none of that is important at all.

I want to share with you something about Gary Vee.

Gary is one of the most grounded, caring, gracious, & empathetic human beings I have met. He greeted me with a warm hug and complimented me on how beautiful I looked, and how pleased he was to meet me. Then he attentively listened and was GENUINELY INTERESTED in hearing my vision that everyone has a voice in the world and that voice matters.

The 600 people who attended today’s seminar, some people came up to me afterwards “OMG, you got to spend personal time with Gary Vee, what did he say?”

And you know what, we covered so much, it’s hard to share it all here and I will say this. The mobile phone is the new TV. The podcast is the new radio. And people, including Gary, are giving up their laptops and just using their mobile phones for everything. Our customers are on social media channels, they are there ready & waiting.

Now you may know this already. Or you may not. But either way, preparing for these changes will be key.

So how did Gary Vaynerchuk make me feel? He left me feeling like I had something to offer the world, that I was valuable and that I could do it. He believed in me. And you know what. I believe in him.

Here is a show reel I put together of our time together.

It was just one of those moments in time that is hard to verbalise.

I feel particularly grateful to have had this time with him, and thank-you to both Glenn Twiddle & Naomi Rogers Twyford who have organised this incredible event.

With much love & respect,

Sharnee Melinda Bennett
