A Micro:bit lesson plan is an enhanced version of your lesson plan that enables you to:

  1. deliver the lesson in a fun and engaging way
  2. and teach students coding while staying on topic

With a Micro:bit lesson plan, you can deliver your lessons to students using Micro:bit games and projects.

Follow these six steps to create a Micro:bit lesson plan:

Include the Micro:bit in the Lesson Overview

  1. Identify the lesson topic, objectives & keywords
  2. Create or get Micro:bit projects/games around the lesson topic, objectives & keywords

Include the Micro:bit in the Lesson Body

3. Outline what you want students to know/do about the sub-topics and objectives by the end of the lesson — Explain the Micro:bit project/game

4. Let students know/do it with the Micro:bit, while having fun — Code It!

Include the Micro:bit in the Lesson Conclusion

5. Outline what you want students to remember — Reflection questions for the students

6. Identify what problem related to the lesson you want the students to solve using the micro:bit? — Host a design thinking workshop with the students
