Beware of Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: The Tale of A Progressive Professor Who Forgot To Hide Her…
Kayla Renee Parker

I love your statement “…because we can’t even accept that America has never been great for anyone unless you’re white”. I think that “male and Christian” should be added to that statement. This country has always both incredibly racist and sexist! Shirley Chisolm, the ground breaking Congreeswoman who ran for President in 1972, said “When I ran for the Congress, when I ran for president, I met more discrimination as a woman than for being black. Men are men.” considering she was born in 1924 when lynching Blacks seemed to be a routine pasttime in the South, that stement is rather telling. Indeed, many refused to vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 simply because she was a woman- depsite her clearly being the more qualified candidate. Yes, great strides have been made in the country regarding race relations but, clearly, your close encounter with this now deservedly unemployed professor demonstrates we still have a long way to go. Kudos for being your own best advocate and I’m pleasntly surprised and pleased that your school defended you.
