The Washington Post reported that in a 2014 interview with Iowa Public Radio, Clovis said he was “extremely skeptical” about climate change and added that “a lot of the science is junk science…So I’m a skeptic.”
Trump nominated Clovis despite the fact that Clovis lacks a background in science and a congressional rule maintains that the role must be filled “from among distinguished scientists.” Common Dreams thinks such a nomination may be illegal.
And I would not call 97% of climate scientists, who say climate change is man made, nor the Pentagon, which issued two reports calling man-made global warming a threat greater than terrorism, “true believers.” I read the reports; I wager you have not. Instead of claiming the journalist is one-sided, you need to examine your own biases because your ignorance makes you a fool.
