I don’t know the people in this anecdote, but I’ve been a big supporter of bootcamps and have mentored a lot of new engineers. I am very, very skeptical that anybody who graduates from a bootcamp is immediately ready for a senior role. My guess is that those companies are probably making a mistake when they hire male graduates directly into senior roles.
