How Does it Feel?

How does it feel, I mean literally, to stay away from the family, to protect a million other families whom you have never met or never will. Many will say it is a matter of pride, to serve the country, to fight for the land you were born in,to lay down you life for a cause so high.

I have met people serving in the Armed Forces. One thing very different about them is those who have served at the front in trying times never discuss of War. They never sit , grab a drink and tell the valiant war stories. War never has valiant stories. It is full of nights of terror. Imagine spending weeks in unknown areas with less supplies, sleep and enemies lurking behind. Soldiers ready to blow you into pieces for the sake of martyrdom. People sitting in high cushy offices talk to each other and when agreement don’t happen they choose bloodshed from the hands of soldiers who have never met, disagreed. Ready to kill and plunder places they are left in the war grounds to survive.

Nobody asks them what they want, they see their friends being massacred, tortured, wrapped in white and sent home. Nobody has a answer and still there are people who daresay .”Who asked them to join the Army?” . People who don’t have idea about what it feels to be in a war judges your days and nights spend in trenches and war-zones. They question your ability to keep them safe. I feel pity for them. Those who cannot judge the worth of a life of soldier serving in the front alone for the sake of the country. God help the countries, God help this insanity prevailing.
