I am an artist.

I respect what you said.

And seeing as I’ve been putting pieces of my soul out to absolute silence — to unhearing ears, I’d be inclined if not to agree with you then to at least say it’s a terrible, difficult choice.

But I can’t shake the feeling that it is a move in the right direction. (And I don’t mean this in some oh-this-is-the-future-why-run-away-from-it way.)

No, I mean the net has a role to play. I agree absolutely — you’ll see that in my primary motif of ‘noise’. The way you put it was too kind, if anything. The noise is drowning out any art, any goodness online.

But I believe that is merely a stage of development. First the waters are muddy, then they settle.

I see a Jungian progress in all this. Things becoming more conscious. I don’t know if that makes sense to you.

Anyway, all the very best to you, my friend. We’re all in this together.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
