If airlines want our patience, they might try earning some first.

@scott what actually “sucks” about it? Compared to taking a train at Penn Station? Compared to riding a Bolt Bus? These other methods are some of the worst means of travel humanity has devised.

A comfy, air conditioned, smooth ride on a modern, safe airliner with a catered meal traveling 600MPH in a straight line to my destination without stopping sounds pretty nice to me.

Before you board you get a nice leather seat at a quiet gate in a modern airport typically with free Wi-Fi. There are tons of restaurants and food options at most domestic US airports, and the larger hubs are downright malls today.

I just don’t get what the flying public expects for what its paying.

Have you ever been to the Port Authority? There are birds flying around, crapping on people. It’s also a wildly popular homeless encampment. Signs? Helpful staff? Don’t make me laugh.

How about the 102 degree ovens that are MTA subway stations and not a soul in sight to help you?

And flying “sucks?” Please.
