China Communication Construction Fourth Highway Engineering Co. Ltd (CCC Fourth) 中交四公局 published a news about the construction of Korla’s reeducation camp.

This news reveals many details about the re-education camp. It is in the east suburb. There are 8 dorm buildings, 1 admin building, 1 dining hall, 1 correction center. The construction started late Feb and is scheduled to finish in June.

Korla government also published a news saying that Korla’s Party Secretary visited this re-education camp construction site. Shanshui Company is a subsidiary of CCC Fourth and is responsible for the camp construction.

This photo confirms that the re-education camp referred in the news is the camp I identified in the satellite image. The image below is taken on March 8, 2018. The news photo is taken at the area in the red rectangle below. We can compare the news photo with satellite image:

Korla’s Eastern suburb is actually a city of detainees and prisoners. Besides this re-education camp, there are three detention centers, two prisons.
