It’s like photoshop but with coding
Personally, week 2 was what I was looking forward to when I started this boot camp. Something about creating and deciding how your product would look like felt 100 times more fun than the backend side of coding. Plus, we get to design our own portfolios according to our own A E S T H E T I C S. However, I know that learning both frontend and backend is important.

Before I started this course, I already knew a bit of html and css but this week still gave me additional information which was very useful (e.g. using class or id).
The main problem that I faced while doing my portfolio was that the text and images would instantly appear behind my video on the top left corner. This was not supposed to happen. I tried getting help from the instructors but even they could not solve my problem. After a few days of wrecking my brain for the solution. A thought hit me: maybe the html and css that I copied for my video background was wrong. I checked the code again and realised that I had copied the wrong code.
So the takeaway from this week was: Don’t give up until you find the solution, no matter how painful it is. When you have finally found it, instantly realise what a huge idiot you are.
