Ever since I was a child I have had many important aspects in my life. A few include my family, my animals, my sports, and most of all, my schooling. Each of these subjects has impacted my life immensely. My family has always stood by my side and they have been able to help me with anything I need to be successful. My parents have helped with my school work as well as helping me improve in my athletics.

Athletic has consumed a large portion of my free time. I enjoy being physically active and I am always outside. I love to run as well as play softball. I have run cross country for all four years of high school and have had the honor of being a part of the varsity team all four years. This team has taught me self-discipline as well as how to push myself farther than I think I can. I have learned how to be a leader in the sport as well as in school while participating in the most difficult sport at our school. Stepping up to lead a team of 50 athletes, myself and the other three captains took on the responsibilities of the entire team. Along with running year around, in the spring I have participated in softball and was on varsity my sophomore and junior years. Participating in this sport and on this teamed showed me that I really had to work hard for what I want and I learned how to work with people who I did not get along with. Although this was an awarding experience, I learned that sometimes there will be points in my life where I have worked extremely hard for what I wanted and sometimes achievements are not possible in a situation. Whenever I was having difficulties in my athletics I always knew that when I got home my animals would be there to comfort me and put me in a better mood.

The two biggest things my pets have taught me are responsibility and compassion. I have learned to take care of another organism and the have taught me characteristics about myself that I would never had known without them. These key figures in my life have been important in my maturing as well as discovering what I want to do as my career for the rest of my life.

School has consumed most of my time since I began. I find it necessary to get good grades and do the best I can in order to get where I want in life. My top goal has always been to get an education an be at the top of my class.
