A Dedicated Love Poem
An innocent soul finally set eyes on you
She was convinced that you two were birds of the same feather
Youâd look at her pretty face and stare when she wasnât looking
She was shy, that was evident but she couldnât help it
You loved her smile, but she loved yours more
She never told you that but it killed her deep inside
It warmed her insides it had her thinking things she shouldnât
She got comfortable around you, indicating you had her
One night, under a starry sky, she ran a finger down your nose
She liked doing this, then you smiled and she completely lost it
She blushed and looked down it was finally happening
Your dreams were coming true tonight and it got you sweating
You pinned her right on the tree she was standing next to
Launched in for her lips but she looked down, it got you thinking maybe not today
You stepped back, she held your hand and drew you close to her
Placed your hand on her waist, the other on her cheek, it felt good
She placed her hands on your neck then she whispered
âTâ was a faint weak voice but the words were strong, teach me
Like a wounded lion, you came alive, took her slow, easy, made it long
Time froze, heartbeats went still, it was divine, SHE was heaven sent
An innocent soul was given to you to love, Please donât hurt her
Youâre everything sheâs never had, sheâs naĂŻve, weak, and innocent
Donât break my angel, the heavenâs commanded with a thunder
Lightning flashed and captured the moment, saved it perhaps
Raindrops maybe symbolized acceptance
This was it, you had her, and she had you, an innocent soul
