The contribution method for the 1 World ICO is a bit different than most. I have prepared a handy guide to help anyone that might get confused making this purchase (the process is very similar to how BitDice conducted its ICO).

First Step: Sign Up

First of all, you must sign up to participate. It doesn’t ask for any pesky KYC information, but you will have to register with the site, instead of just sending your money to a contract. This is most likely because they accept a lot of different types of payment, I will talk more about this later in the piece.

Second Step: Send in the funds!

The second step should be pretty familiar with most of us in the crypto world, which is sending in some crypto to fund your account. 1WO accepts a variety of payment methods, as per the FAQs:

You can pay in BTC, LTC, DASH, ETC, ETH, XMR, ZEC or USD (via Credit Card, ACH, check, or Paypal).

I used Ethereum for my transaction. It took a little longer than the site said to expect (60 confirmations instead of 6). Once the transaction finally did confirm however, everything showed up correctly in the “Dashboard” and I was able to move to the next step.

Third Step: Purchase the 1WO!

The last step is a little tricky, as you usually do not have to confirm the purchase. When you pay the invoice you have deposited funds on your account in 1W Token Sale system. But now you have to tell the system to buy tokens by using these funds.

Set the amount of 1WO tokens you wish to buy or check checkbox ‘ Spend all funds in your account to buy tokens’ to spend all funds that were placed to deposit.

The system will show you the amount of bonus tokens ( depends on current discount) and the total price.

You are almost done. The final step is clicking the “BUY NOW” button. A disclaimer/ terms of service window will pop up. Once you click accept, congratulations! You are the proud owner of the 1WO token. These tokens are ERC20 tokens, so when you can withdraw them (Nov 16) you will need to use an ERC20 compatible wallet to receive them on. Use MyEtherWallet. It is easy to use and best of all, it is free!

Like this article if it helped you make your purchase!
