Sometimes my depression manifests by way of making all my feelings feel muted. I’m still the chirpy, snarky, passionate person I always am, it’s just all those feelings feel a little flat. It’s like someone is sitting on part on my brain where I can feel things, so the feelings are still there, it’s just they’re compressed and there’s a butt on all my feelings.

So here’s all the things I think when that feelin lifts.

  • What’s that?
  • Who’s that?
  • What are they talking about?
  • Why doesn’t anyone like oatmeal raisin cookies? It’s the best flavor.
  • Arm pillows should be a thing.
  • All I really want is money, hoes and sleep.
  • Gwyneth Paltrow and I are so similar.
  • My phone is so grossssss.
  • I guess I should download Bumble again.
  • [Five minutes later] Nope, deleting it.
