This is too good to leave alone.

A philanthropist, a VC, and an Open Sourcerer work at a bar.

A customer walks in and asks the philanthropist “how much for a beer?” The philanthropist replies “it’s free, but I’ll need a receipt for the donation write-off.”

The customer asks the VC “how much for a beer?” and the VC replies “it’s free, but at a $5 cap if you sell it.”

The customer continues to the Open Sourcerer and asks “how much for a beer?”. The Open Sourcerer replies “the beer? It’s free as in software” and shoves over a box of hops, barley, yeast, and a stack of monospaced printed papers titled README.
