Top 20 highest paid athletes of last 10 years list revealed by Forbes
American business magazine Forbes has published its top ten highest paid athletes in the world over the last 10 years. American golfer Tiger Woods is on the top spot with record $845 million earnings.
Although Tiger Woods’ performance on the greens has declined in recent seasons, the American still dominated the charts with revenues, combined sponsorships and scholarships.
Tiger Woods has nearly $200 million ahead of his nearest rival, American boxer Floyd Mayweather, who earned $660 million between 2005 and 2015.
The US athletes have occupied the top five spots with 20 sports personalities.
Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova is the only woman in the standings, with earnings of $250 million.
